I lead AI and data for my business unit at Actemium Switzerland, where I also work as a software and infrastructure engineer. The unit brings automation, OT, IT, software development and computer system validation together for pharma and industrial customers, and my role cuts across all of them: bringing shared methods and tools that each team can use in its own work.
In practice that means AI use cases taken from first idea to a governed pilot with each team, software practices such as specifications, tests and versioning wherever there is code, PLC projects included, and internal platforms that stay fast and reliable.
Focus
01AI across the business unit
AI where it saves engineers time, whatever their field: drafting and reviewing code, documentation and validation deliverables, with the engineer in charge of the result. Use cases from every team taken from first idea to a governed pilot, and shared at the CODESYS AI workshops and at Basel Area.
02IT/OT convergence
Software discipline for automation projects: written specifications, automated tests and versioned, repeatable deployments of PLC code. Projects stay traceable, easier to validate in regulated pharma environments.
03Infrastructure & operations
Hosting, running and optimising the internal applications of Actemium Switzerland and Germany, from performance and monitoring to security and backups.
